Job summary
Tātaki Auckland Unlimited is seeking a Safety Advisor – Technical Operations to join our Technical Production team in Central Auckland. This hands-on role involves working with technicians, Production Managers, contractors and clients to ensure safety is practical and built into event delivery.
With five+ years in technical production and a solid understanding of risk and safe-working practices, you will review safety plans, conduct inspections, support high-risk activities and help strengthen
Qualifications
- Five or more years’ experience in technical production, entertainment, events, venue operations, production and/or health and safety.
- Good understanding of operational risk and safe working practices.
- Experience with operational procedures, SOPs or safe systems of work.
- Confidence engaging with people and influencing positive change.
- Practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in a busy event environment.
- Formal Health and Safety qualification is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Review event safety plans and SOPs.
- Undertake workplace inspections.
- Support higher-risk technical activities.
- Contribute to toolbox talks.
- Identify where training or guidance is needed and strengthen safety culture.
