Job summary

Health NZ West Coast on the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our rural health team in Greymouth. You will provide safe, person- and whānau-centred care across medical, surgical and rehabilitation settings.

The role requires strong clinical judgement, communication and documentation skills, and a commitment to equity of outcomes for Māori and Pacific peoples.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Registered Nurse with current APC and no conditions preventing practice.
• Strong clinical judgement and ability to work across medical, surgical and rehabilitation care.
• Commitment to culturally safe practice and equity for Māori and Pacific peoples.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small rural team.
• Experience supporting Enrolled Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and implement care plans.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions across diverse clinical contexts.
• Support and guide junior staff and allied health team members.
• Document effectively and contribute to service development and integration of care.
