Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a charitable organization in recruiting a Rural Outreach Coordinator to connect remote communities near Queenstown with essential services. You will plan outreach strategies, build relationships with community leaders, and coordinate mobile clinics and information sessions.

The role requires a relevant qualification in social work or community development, at least three years of field experience, and a willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in social services or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in community outreach or rural development.
• Ability to develop and execute outreach plans.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect rural communities with the organization's services in the Queenstown region.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local government officials, and other stakeholders in remote areas.
• Organize and facilitate mobile clinics, information sessions, and service delivery points in isolated communities.
• Assess the specific needs of rural populations and tailor outreach efforts accordingly.
• Coordinate logistics for outreach activities, including transportation, materials, and personnel.
• Serve as a liaison between rural communities and the organization, ensuring clear communication.
• Collect feedback from communities to improve service delivery and outreach effectiveness.
• Prepare reports on outreach activities, challenges, and successes.
• Identify potential partners and resources to support rural development initiatives.
• Promote awareness of the organization's mission and services within target communities.
