Job summary

CMC Contracting in Southland is seeking a Class 5 Truck Driver to join our Pukerau yard team. You’ll transport hay, baleage, bulk loads, machinery and other freight on rural roads and farm tracks.

This is a practical, hands-on driving role with loading duties using a crane, occasional overnight stays, and the chance to work independently within a supportive team.

A current Class 5 licence and at least two years’ experience are required, along with reliability and good communication.

Qualifications

• Current Class 5 driver’s licence.
• At least two years’ experience operating heavy truck & trailer.
• Practical rural driving experience with sound judgement around farm access.

Responsibilities

• Operate on rural roads, farm tracks and yards.
• Load bags using a truck-mounted crane.
• Transport hay, baleage, bulk loads, machinery and other freight.
• Drive safely and efficiently, with independent work ethic.
• Overnight stays away from home may be required.
