Job summary

Frimley School in Hawke’s Bay seeks a Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) for a full-time, permanent position. The role focuses on Year 1–8 learners in primary and intermediate settings, with responsibilities to support students, teachers and families, and to adapt programmes for diverse needs.

The successful applicant will be fully registered in NZ, have RTLB experience or agree to attain the RTLB qualification, and possess a driver’s license.

Qualifications

• NZ experienced, fully registered teacher
• RTLB qualification or willingness to attain with funding and support
• In-depth knowledge of NZ Curriculum
• Experience supporting diverse learners across primary/secondary
• Ability to guide teachers to adapt programmes and manage behaviour

Responsibilities

• Provide RTLB support to learners with varying needs
• Collaborate with students, parents, teachers and professionals
• Support literacy, numeracy and statistics learning
• Assist schools to adapt programmes for diverse learners
