Job summary

The Wellington is seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a regular part-time, on-site role in a long-term care setting. You will lead safe, patient-centered nursing care, perform assessments, contribute to care planning, and work with an interdisciplinary team to support residents’ dignity and quality of life.

Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, and adherence to FLTCA and Ontario regulations.

Qualifications

• Current General Class registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RPN.
• Demonstrates strong documentation practices and collaboration with interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to provide person-centered nursing care, maintaining resident dignity and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care aligned with Residents’ Bill of Rights.
• Complete nursing assessments and adjust care plans with the RN and team.
• Communicate changes in resident status and ensure follow-up.
• Contribute to care planning and documentation (interRAI).
• Administer medications and treatments ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Support IPAC practices and occupational health requirements.
• Collaborate with PSWs and the interdisciplinary team.
