Job summary

Building Recruitment Limited is seeking experienced Roofers to join our client's growing team in the Northland region. These are full-time, permanent roles with a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week, offering a variety of installation, replacement, and repair work across residential, commercial, and project-based sites.

Location: Northland. Pay: NZD $30.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on experience. Hours: Minimum 30 guaranteed per week. Employment type: Full-time, permanent.

Qualifications

• recognised trade qualification in Roofing (NZQF Level 4 or overseas equivalent) OR at least 3 years relevant industry experience installing, repairing and replacing roofing systems.
• Good technical skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, hardworking and professional approach.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.
• Commitment to health and safety, including working at heights.
• Full drivers licence.
• Willingness to travel to other regions occasionally as project demand requires.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace long-run, tile, and membrane roofing systems.
• Install roofing underlay, flashings, ridge caps and edge details.
• Complete roof repairs and re-roofs on residential and commercial buildings.
• Work from plans, specifications and site instructions.
• Ensure work is watertight and completed to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site requirements.
