Job description
Overview

We are seeking Robotics Application Engineers to join our team in building and delivering advanced robotic systems. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on deployment and support with a clear growth path into robotics software development. You’ll play a critical role in setting up, testing, and maintaining robots in real environments, while gradually taking on software responsibilities in system development, automation, and integration. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy working at the intersection of real-world hardware and software and want to evolve into a core member of our software engineering team.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy and configure mobile robotic systems, including initial setup, calibration, and functional validation
  • Support customers and internal users during early-stage deployments and pilots
  • Debug software and system-level issues in ROS-based environments
  • Develop tools and scripts to automate deployment, calibration, and monitoring tasks
  • Write and maintain client-facing documentation and internal technical notes
  • Train customers and internal team members on robot usage and troubleshooting
  • Contribute to the software development of core robotics components, including perception, navigation, behavior orchestration, and diagnostics
  • Collaborate closely with hardware and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration
  • Relay insights and feedback from real-world deployments back to the development team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in C++, preferably in the context of robotics or embedded systems
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and command-line tools
  • Working experience with ROS2 and the ability to navigate its launch/configuration systems
  • Exposure to real-time sensor data and robotic hardware (e.g., LiDARs, cameras, IMUs)
  • Comfortable working in live environments, including labs, customer sites, or field settings
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for robot deployments and customer support
Nice to Have
  • Experience with CI/CD tools for robotics software
  • Knowledge of Docker, Git, and build systems like CMake or colcon
  • Familiarity with robotic simulation environments (Gazebo, Webots, or Isaac Sim)
  • Background in motion planning, SLAM, or control systems
  • Experience working in startup or fast-paced development environments
Application Materials
  • Resume/CV
  • Link(s) to code sample(s), ideally in a publicly accessible repository
