Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking an experienced Grader Operator to join our team and help deliver good work on our projects. This hands-on role requires safe, efficient operation of grading plant and strong collaboration with the site crew to keep work moving to plan.

You will perform pre-starts, checks, and basic maintenance, follow the programme, and maintain a safety-first mindset. A practical, team-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• A current Class 4 driver licence is essential.
• W, T, R endorsements are essential.
• Minimum Level 1 Traffic Controller certification.
• Proven grading/construction experience, ideally building new roads.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and doing the job right first time.
• Reliable, practical, team-focused approach with willingness to learn and get stuck in.

Responsibilities

• Operate the grader safely and efficiently to support road construction and maintenance works.
• Complete pre-starts, plant checks, and basic maintenance before machinery is operated.
• Follow the work programme and site instructions to keep delivery on track.
• Take safety seriously by speaking up and reporting incidents, near misses and hazards.
• Look for smarter, safer ways of working and contribute to a team culture built on respect and reliability.
