Job summary

HealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Nelson is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Medical Admissions and Planning Unit (MAPU). The role is 0.8FTE on a 12-month fixed term contract, offering rotation across medical, emergency and cardiology areas in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nursing Council of New Zealand registration and practising certificate.
• Experience in medical, emergency, cardiology or acute nursing is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced MAPU environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centred nursing care on MAPU with rostered, rotating shifts.
• Work within a collaborative team to deliver timely inpatient care.
• Contribute to achieving short length of stay targets and high-quality outcomes.
