Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Tauranga seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Assessment Planning Unit. The successful candidate will contribute to nursing assessment and planning for acutely unwell patients admitted by GP or ED, within a busy 24-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NZNC registration and APC.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure team environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Calm demeanour and good sense of humour.
• Desire to develop nursing assessment and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessment and planning for acutely unwell patients.
• Work in the 24-bed APU and Ambulatory Care Unit, Tauranga Hospital.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage diverse health conditions.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgement and effective communication.
