About The Role

This is a career-defining opportunity for a proactive and trusted professional to make a real impact in a complex, purpose-driven organisation.

As Risk & Compliance Manager, you’ll lead the organisation’s risk management framework, oversee compliance and ethics programmes, manage the insurance portfolio, and provide governance support at board level. Acting as both Privacy Officer and Ethics Officer, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding organisational integrity while ensuring policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are embedded across the business.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Leading risk management, insurance, and business continuity planning
  • Driving compliance, ethics, and privacy programmes
  • Providing legal and contractual support, liaising with external counsel as required
  • Overseeing internal audit activities with outsourced providers
  • Developing and embedding corporate policies and procedures
  • Supporting governance, board reporting, and business strategy initiatives

About You:

As well as having an extensive background in risk and compliance or legal roles within the NZ commercial sector, you will:

  • Have sound knowledge of New Zealand’s regulatory environment, risk frameworks, and corporate governance,
  • Be able to engage confidently with executives, boards, and external advisors.
  • Possess experience of managing corporate insurances and commercial contracts.
