With some of our Ferrymead team moving across to support the exciting launch of our New Prestons store, we now have full-time opportunities available for passionate, customer-focused individuals to join our Indoor Garden and Outdoor Garden departments.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing friendly, knowledgeable service and advice to customers
• Supporting customers with their garden projects, from houseplants to landscaping
• Keeping stock well-presented, replenished, and easy to shop
• Building product knowledge to help customers find the right solutions
• Working as part of a busy, supportive retail team

Department-Specific Highlights

In Outdoor Garden, you’ll be working with:

• Living plants, shrubs, and seasonal flowers
• Potting mixes, composts, and soil conditioners
• Garden pots, raised beds, and outdoor growing solutions
• Advising on plant care, placement, and seasonal gardening tips

In Indoor Garden, you’ll be assisting with:

• Garden powertools like hedge trimmers, line trimmers, and leaf blowers
• Irrigation systems, hoses, and watering solutions
• Fertilisers, pest control, and garden maintenance products
• Hand tools such as pruners, loppers, and trowels

What We’re Looking For

• A positive attitude and genuine passion for customer service
• Great communication skills and a willingness to learn
• Interest in gardening, plants, or garden care products
• Reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach
• Previous retail or garden centre experience is a bonus – but not essential
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
