Job summary

Consult Recruitment is seeking a Compliance Analyst for a leading Advisory & Restructuring firm in Auckland. You'll work alongside an experienced team supporting restructuring and insolvency engagements, including receiverships, voluntary administrations and liquidations.

The firm works across a broad range of industries and is known for delivering commercial and pragmatic solutions to complex business problems.

Qualifications

  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercial mindset.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially and tactfully.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience with Xero, MYOB or SAP advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Using Excel to analyse financial data and prepare summary schedules.
  • Preparing bank reconciliations and identifying variances.
  • Reviewing creditor invoices and assisting with payment processing.
  • Preparing receipts and payments reports.
  • Managing creditor claims and assisting with creditor distributions.
  • Managing company payroll.
  • Preparing IRD returns and assisting with PAYE, GST and employee entitlement calculations.
  • Maintaining accounting records and general ledger accounts.
  • Assisting with debtor collections.
  • Responding to creditor and employee queries.
  • Drafting correspondence and statutory reports.
  • Supporting the team at client premises when required.

Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Compliance Analyst to join a leading Advisory & Restructuring firm in Auckland.

You'll work alongside an experienced team supporting a range of restructuring and insolvency engagements, including receiverships, voluntary administrations and liquidations. The firm works across a broad range of industries and is known for delivering commercial and pragmatic solutions to complex business problems.

This is a varied, hands-on role offering strong exposure to financial analysis, accounting, insolvency processes and stakeholder management.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Using Excel to analyse financial data and prepare summary schedules
  • Preparing bank reconciliations and identifying variances
  • Reviewing creditor invoices and assisting with payment processing
  • Preparing receipts and payments reports
  • Managing creditor claims and assisting with creditor distributions
  • Managing company payroll
  • Preparing IRD returns and assisting with PAYE, GST and employee entitlement calculations
