Please note: Ngā Hau e Whā RTLB Cluster 28 supports 108 schools from Wellington South to Pukerua Bay. Our RTLB are based in two offices: Titahi Bay Intermediate and Rewa Rewa School in Newlands. Successful applicants will work across the Cluster.

About the role:

We are seeking a professional, highly skilled, and experienced New Zealand registered teacher to join our RTLB cluster. This role requires the ability to:

  • Support Māori and diverse learners in inclusive educational settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and schools to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Engage in culturally responsive, strengths-based, and evidence-informed practice.
  • Contribute to a team committed to developing knowledge of te reo me ōna tikanga Māori.
  • Work across a range of school settings, including Kura Kaupapa Māori, Te Kura-ā-Iwi, Te Kura Reo Rua, and mainstream schools.
  • Current New Zealand teacher registration.
  • Proven experience supporting Māori and diverse learners.
  • Experience in a range of school settings (Kura Kaupapa Māori, Te Kura-ā-Iwi, Te Kura Reo Rua, and/or mainstream) is highly desirable.
  • Experienced, trained RTLB, or the capacity and willingness to attain the RTLB qualification.
  • Full driver’s licence and willingness to use own vehicle for work purposes.
