Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation in Otago, NZ is seeking a Jumbo Operator for a residential role at Macraes. You will operate Sandvik Jumbo drills, install ground support, and mine headings per plan. The role offers a 7 on/7 off, 12-hour shift roster and on-site living in a stunning region.

We require 10+ years underground mining experience with Jumbo exposure, a current First Aid certificate, and a valid driver’s license. A competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 10+ years underground mining experience, including Jumbo exposure.
• Experience installing bolts and mesh and mining headings.
• Competence with Sandvik Jumbo Drills and related equipment.
• Current First Aid Certificate and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Jumbo development drills to mine headings and install ground support.
• Ensure headings mined to size, online and gradient; maintain plan accuracy.
• Mentor junior operators and promote team safety culture.
• Maintain equipment and follow mine plans and memos.
