Head Medical is seeking a post-foundation doctor with at least 2 years’ experience in Orthopaedics and Trauma to join the team at Waikato Hospital – one of New Zealand’s largest tertiary teaching hospitals. This is a unique opportunity to develop your clinical and procedural skills in a high-volume, high-acuity environment while enjoying the relaxed lifestyle and natural beauty of the central North Island.

The Role

Waikato Hospital provides local and regional specialist care to a catchment area of over 700,000 people. As a post-foundation doctor with Orthopaedics and Trauma experience, you will join a dynamic surgical team and benefit from:

  • A high-volume trauma centre with over 34,000 surgical procedures annually
  • Extensive exposure to Orthopaedic and Trauma cases, including acute and elective procedures
  • Valuable hands-on experience across ward-based care, emergency theatre support, and fracture clinics
