About the Role

Our Oncology Research Team has an exciting opportunity for a Research Nurse to support the work of the team in clinical trials and research.

The Research Nurse would be responsible for:

  • Treatment delivery and associated trial based activities for clinical research trials
  • Carrying out any necessary supportive care throughout the treatment delivery
  • Observation period and will ensure the collection of vital signs, study bloods, and other relevant tests as required by individual protocols
About the Service

CANTERBURY ONCOLOGY RESEARCH UNIT (CORU) is an integral part of the Oncology service employing 8 staff members who coordinate research in oncology. CORU works closely with other clinical teams to make a difference in people’s lives by working on cutting edge trials.

Our team has an international reputation with most of our trials being part of worldwide research. The team is based at Manawa building and has facilities in the Oncology department in Christchurch hospital.

About you

This position would suit a person who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, has excellent administration and communication skills and a desire to extend their knowledge and experience in this area. A strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy with data collection and entry will be critical to your success.
