Job summary

Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand is seeking a dynamic leader to drive store operations and team development. You will oversee stock management, lead a swarm of teams to keep shelves stocked, and ensure high standards of customer experience across shifts.

You will champion a safe work environment, coach team members, and partner with store leadership to deliver seamless operations. This role requires flexibility, weekend shifts, and effective communication within a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Execute Operations & Stock Management: oversee routines, lead the swarm to handle tasks, fill shelves and manage deliveries.
• Team Leadership & Development: on-job training and coaching for team members, maintain safe and healthy work environment.
• Maintain Store Standards: ensure correct standards, prioritize shelf-friendly packaging and manage overstocks.
• Resolve Issues Proactively: elevate process-related issues to the Function Lead for resolution.
• Contribute to Store Leadership: act as Store Manager on shifts and participate in Better Together collaborations.

What you’ll do | Hei mahi

• Execute Operations & Stock Management: Ensure accurate and timely completion of routines, leading the "swarm" to correctly handle tasks, and overseeing all teams to fill shelves and manage deliveries according to standards.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead on-job training and coaching for team members, and champion a safe and healthy work environment.
• Maintain Store Standards: Ensure all teams are filling to correct standards, prioritize shelf-friendly packaging, and manage overstocks effectively.
• Resolve Issues Proactively: Timely elevate process-related issues to the Function Lead for resolution.
• Contribute to Store Leadership: Step up as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts and actively participate in "Better Together" connections to foster team collaboration.
