Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Gisborne Hospital is seeking compassionate Health Care Assistants to join the Renal Department. You will support patients, under the direction of RNs and health professionals, delivering safe and person-centred care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• NZQA Level 3 Certificate (or equivalent relevant qualification).
• Able to work under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse or other Registered Health Professional.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving Māori health outcomes.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and quality standards.
• Previous healthcare experience, particularly in an acute setting, would be advantageous but is not essential.
