Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an ambitious Remote Solar Project Developer to identify, evaluate, and advance solar energy projects across markets from a fully remote location.

The role covers the entire lifecycle from site identification and feasibility studies to securing permits and PPAs, requiring strong project finance knowledge, regulatory understanding, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solar project development, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
• Strong understanding of solar technology, grid interconnection, and energy policy.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects remotely and work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure suitable sites for utility-scale and distributed solar projects.
• Conduct detailed feasibility studies, including resource assessment, interconnection analysis, and preliminary design.
• Develop financial models and evaluate project economics to ensure profitability.
• Navigate and secure necessary permits, zoning approvals, and environmental clearances.
• Negotiate and finalize Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other project contracts.
