Placements24 is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, build, and deploy scalable ML models and pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver ML-driven features.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in ML engineering, strong Python skills, and deep knowledge of ML algorithms. Experience with Spark and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), plus Docker/Kubernetes, is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or related role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Deep understanding of core ML concepts, algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning), and statistical modeling.
• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
• Proven experience deploying ML models into production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a research-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Experience with MLOps is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable machine learning models and algorithms.
• Build and maintain robust ML pipelines for data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
• Deploy ML models into production environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to define project requirements and deliver ML-driven features.
• Conduct research on state-of-the-art ML techniques and apply them to solve business problems.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of deployed ML models.
• Develop tools and frameworks to support the ML development lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of the latest research papers, tools, and trends in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
• Ensure the ethical and responsible development and deployment of AI systems.
