Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a progressive pharmaceutical services provider, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Pharmacist to join their expanding clinical services division. This role is pivotal in providing essential pharmaceutical care and consultation services to patients and healthcare providers virtually. The Remote Pharmacist will leverage technology to deliver medication management, patient counseling, and clinical support, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and adherence to treatment plans. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medication management services remotely, including medication reconciliation, adherence monitoring, and therapy optimization.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate and effective drug therapy.
• Review and interpret electronic prescriptions and patient health records.
• Identify and resolve potential drug-related problems, such as drug-drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
• Utilize telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems to deliver patient care.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).

• Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
