Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training) for a fully remote hourly contract in New Zealand. The role requires deep healthcare data governance expertise to shape AI models handling clinical data, workflows, and compliance.

You will evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, security, and regulatory alignment, identifying gaps and unsafe assumptions while providing expert feedback. Flexible, asynchronous work with ongoing project opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health data operations.
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks — especially HIPAA.
• Able to collaborate across clinical, IT, and administrative stakeholders.
• Critically assess data governance policies, workflows, and standards for accuracy and completeness.
• Naturally detail-oriented with a systematic, methodical approach to quality evaluation.
• No prior AI or tech experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated content related to clinical data management, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Assess whether AI outputs reflect accurate, trustworthy standards for healthcare data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify gaps, inaccuracies, or unsafe assumptions in how AI handles healthcare data scenarios — including HIPAA contexts.
• Provide structured, expert feedback on data governance workflows and cross-functional data policies.
• Help define what 'correct' looks like when AI reasons about health data governance challenges.
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule.
