Job summary

Agilent Technologies Inc. in Auckland is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, configure and commission advanced analytical instrumentation (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, Atomic Spectroscopy) and perform preventive maintenance across the region.

You will troubleshoot, advise on configurations, and support multimillion-dollar deployments in laboratory environments. A relevant Master or Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology is required, with 1–2 years of hands-on experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
Post-graduate, certification, and/or license may be required.
Up to 1-2 years of professional experience (including internships, part-time, or graduate roles).

Responsibilities

Installation, configuration, and commissioning of advanced Agilent instrumentation (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, Atomic Spectroscopy systems, and more).
Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal instrument performance.
Advising clients on best practices, configurations, and service plans to improve performance and reliability.
Being involved in complex, multimillion-dollar instrument deployments in laboratory environments.
Longer term you may provide our customers with application-level support and training.
