Job summary

Little Lights Kindy Rotorua is seeking a Non-Certificated Reliever to join our caring team. You’ll support tamariki and Kaiako across the centre, get involved in play, and help create a warm, inclusive learning environment.

Our rural‑feeling centre offers outdoor space with real grass and native bush, hands‑on learning, and activities from art to Bee-Bots. If you’re flexible, reliable, and love building connections with children, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Passionate about creating positive experiences for tamariki.
• Warm, nurturing manner and ability to build genuine relationships.
• Flexible, reliable and willing to jump in wherever needed.
• Experience working with children; ECE experience preferred.
• Enthusiastic about play and children's interests.
• Positive team player who collaborates with others.

Responsibilities

• Support tamariki and Kaiako across the centre.
• Engage in play and follow children's interests.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and passionate Non-Certificated Reliever to join our team at Little Lights Kindy Rotorua!

As a Reliever, you’ll be an important part of our team, bringing your energy, warmth, and flexibility to support our tamariki and Kaiako across the centre. No two days are quite the same, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get involved in play, follow children’s interests, and make a real difference to their day.

Our peaceful, rural-feeling location gives tamariki plenty of space to explore, with real grass, native bush, and nearby paddocks where alpacas and sheep can sometimes be spotted! Inside, our age-appropriate spaces encourage children to create, experiment, imagine, and learn through hands‑on experiences.

From getting creative with art and carpentry to enjoying music, storytelling, and coding with Bee-Bots, there’s always something exciting happening at Little Lights.
