Job summary

Ballance Agri-Nutrients in Invercargill is seeking a Reliability Engineer to partner with manufacturing teams to deliver a safe and reliable plant. You will design and maintain maintenance strategies using proven reliability methodologies to improve MTBF and MTTR.

The role requires leading structured problem solving, supporting asset lifecycles, and providing technical guidance on site. It is a daytime role with rostered nights and a focus on health and safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge and demonstrated pragmatic application of reliability tools and methodologies.
Experience leading structured problem solving techniques to resolve asset issues.
Commitment to health and safety of self, team and environment.
Able to work with heavy equipment and maintain physical fitness.
Practical knowledge and understanding in the use of a CMMS; SAP experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain Asset Maintenance Strategies with reliability methodologies to improve MTBF/MTTR.
Support management of Asset Lifecycles and Asset risk via Improvement and Project Design, Action Plan development and prioritisation.
Support on-site teams with technical guidance and precision tactics.
Drive Defect Elimination and structured problem solving to prevent asset failures and production losses.
