The successful candidate will be a relational leader—visible, fair, trusted and present—with the educational, strategic and organisational capability to lead what comes next.

Responsibilities

• build genuine, trusted relationships with students, staff, whānau, Board and community
• keep students, teaching, learning and wellbeing at the centre of the work
• support, develop and trust a capable and committed staff;
• listen well, communicate openly and provide clear and purposeful leadership
• take time to understand Waimauku, its strengths and its character before determining where change or improvement is needed
• confidently lead a complex and growing school through the opportunities and challenges ahead
