Job summary

Environmental Protection Authority NZ in Wellington is seeking three Advisors to assist with processing applications under the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024 and other resource management legislation. The role offers exposure to a wide range of opportunities, including supporting Application Leads, basic GIS mapping, stakeholder engagement, and procurement tasks.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification, preferably specialising in resource management, natural sciences or a related field
• Clear, concise written and oral communication
• GIS experience is desirable
• Ability to work under pressure, set priorities and achieve results in tight deadlines
• Good level of MS Office application skills
• A positive ‘can do' attitude
• Ability to relate to a wide range of people
• Able to focus on details under pressure

Responsibilities

• Support processing of applications under Fast-track Approvals Act 2024 and other resource management legislation
• Assist application leads with timely processing and statutory requirements
• Basic GIS map making to support required documents
• Maintain good stakeholder relationships
• Website communications and procurement for services and contract management
