Job summary

The Department of Internal Affairs in Wellington is seeking an Intelligence Coordinator to support the Regulatory Intelligence & Insights team. You will identify and triage risks, collect and collate information, and work with intelligence analysts to produce tactical, operational, and strategic outputs.

Key responsibilities include data analysis, trend identification, and proactive engagement with partner agencies.

Qualifications

Experience extracting and analysing quantitative and qualitative information from multiple sources.
Ability to research, collect and conduct preliminary analysis to identify emerging trends, issues and risks.
Comfort working with various software and information management tools.
Sound judgement to triage information, requests, and identify risk.
Strong initiative with a proactive and innovative mindset.
Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships.
Ability to communicate clearly to a range of audiences, in written and verbal format.

Responsibilities

Identify and triage risks across regulatory systems to support decision making.
Support intelligence analysts by collecting and collating information from diverse sources.
Develop and maintain timely intelligence outputs for tactical, operational, and strategic use.
Engage with stakeholders across government and partner agencies to share insights.
