Qualifications

Bachelor of Laws with 3-5 years’ PQE gained within a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal team.
Strong legal analysis, problem-solving and experience with regulatory or competition matters.
Excellent written and oral communication with strong attention to detail.
Technical capability and proactive interest in using and introducing Legal AI tools.
Proven interpersonal and organisational skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
Collaborative, proactive approach to anticipating issues and driving improvement.

Responsibilities

Deliver commercially-focused legal advice on business practices and commercial initiatives.
Develop NZ regulatory responses and government proposals impacting the grocery sector.
Monitor legislation and regulatory practices to identify issues early.
Implement compliance frameworks and provide internal training.
Manage relationships with regulators and external advisors.
Collaborate with NZ and Australia leadership to support strategies.
