Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Integrated Operations Centre pool. This part-time permanent role involves rostering and rotating across acute adult services including ED, ICU, and mental health.

You will deliver patient‑centred nursing care and grow into new practice areas within the IOC. We welcome competent practitioners who align with our values and are committed to high standards of care, with orientation, training, and development opportunities

Qualifications

  • Qualified Nurse with NZ healthcare experience.
  • Experience in acute adult services, ED, ICU, or mental health is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care within the IOC team across departments.
  • Cover staffing deficits and support rostering across services.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care in line with best practice.

Registered Nurse Integrated Operations Centre. Pool Nurse part time permanent (rostered and rotating). Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.

About the Role

Registered Nurses (RN) work within the IOC team and are booked to cover staffing deficits throughout Te Whatu Ora Taranaki. We are welcoming applications from competent and professional practitioners who are competent to work in our acute adult services, ED, ICU, mental health and child maternal services. You will be providing caring, and best practice nursing services to our patients that puts them at the centre of everything we do. A pool RN position allows different work areas from day to day and the ability to grow into new practice areas including specialist nursing areas.
