Job summary

Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora - Tairawhiti in Gisborne is seeking a Registered Nurse for Outpatients to support, educate and care for patients across the Tairawhiti region. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and work with local and visiting specialists in the Outpatients Department.

Applicants should be registered nurses with a preference for 3 years’ experience, though new graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with 3 years experience preferable; new graduates welcome.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) is required.
• Current eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse Outpatients you will play a vital role in providing support, delivering care and education to patients across the Tairawhiti region. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to assess, manage and support people covering a variety of conditions. You will work closely with both local and visiting Specialists attending the Outpatient Department.

About you

• Registered Nurse with 3 years experience preferable, however we welcome New graduate applications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with an ability to be flexible and adaptable to the changes that occur throughout the day
• Capable of working in a fast paced, high-volume clinical setting
