Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand is seeking an energetic Registered Nurse to join the Thames Hospitals Medical Inpatient Unit in Thames, Waikato. The role is part-time and permanent, with rostered shifts.

Applicants should be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current practising certificate; training for the right candidate is available. Thames Hospital serves the Thames/Coromandel region and is part of Health NZ.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand; inclusive of scope of practice.
• A current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
• Expected to meet a competent level of practice on the Professional Development and Recognition Programme, but may achieve a higher level of practice.
• Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.

About the Role

We are looking for an energetic and empathetic Registered Nurse to work within Thames Hospitals Medical Inpatient Unit. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in Adult Medical care although we are willing to train the right person. There is a part time position available permanently. The successful candidate must be available to work all rostered shifts.

About our Service

Thames Hospital is a secondary level hospital 100 kilometres north of Hamilton. It serves the Thames, Coromandel Peninsula, Hauraki and Paeroa areas. Thames Hospital has a 24 hour emergency department, and covers the usual range of general surgery and general medicine. Thames Hospital is part of the Waikato District Health Board.
