Job summary

Mercy Hospice Auckland invites applications for a part-time Registered Nurse to join our In Patient Unit. This 0.7 FTE (28 hours per week) role requires rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster in central Auckland.

You will combine your nursing skills with compassionate, holistic care to meet physical, emotional, social and cultural needs of patients and whānau.

New graduates are welcome and the site offers extensive professional development, orientation, on-site parking and IT support.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience (preferably in palliative care but not essential)
• New graduates will be considered
• A passion to provide ongoing, quality, holistic care
• Ability to work 24/7 rostered shifts

Mercy Hospice delivers specialist palliative care to people in central Auckland catchment living with life-limiting illness. We focus on enhancing quality of life and supporting families and whānau through compassionate, holistic care that meets physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our In Patient Unit team on a part time, 0.7 FTE (28 hours per week) basis. You’lljoin an established team, meeting the ongoing physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of both our patients and whānau.You’ll combine your nursing skills and knowledge with a desire to maintain meaningful connection during a significant chapter in your patients’ lives.
