Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Complex at Middlemore Hospital on a 0.9 FTE, permanent part-time basis. The unit provides care to adults and paediatric patients across a varied case mix, including plastic surgery, burns and spinal injuries.

The role requires NZ Registered Nurse with current APC, 2+ years acute hospital experience (ICU experience preferred).

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• 2+ years acute experience in a large NZ hospital.
• ICU experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills.

Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park. We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealands national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

The Opportunity: Do you have acute registered nurse experience in New Zealand? We would like to hear from you! The Critical Care Complex consists of 15 Intensive Care beds and 10 HDU beds. Catering to both adult and paediatric patients from the Counties Manukau area we specialise in Plastic surgical patients from the Auckland Region, Burn patients from around New Zealand and the Pacific, and spinal injured patients from the upper North Island. Working with us will give you the opportunity to work with a varied case mix of patients. Our dedicated medical staff work closely with our experienced nurses to provide the best outcomes to our patients. We are passionate about providing quality care and continuously look to improve our service by undertaking a variety of quality improvement projects.
