Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes in Rotorua is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care team in a mixed ICU/HDU and CCU caring for adults and paediatric patients.

The role involves working full rostered shifts across ICU and Coronary Care, in a multidisciplinary team, with emphasis on quality care and ongoing education. NZ RN registration and acute care experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • Current NZ RN registration and eligibility to work in NZ.
  • Acute medical/surgical nursing experience essential.
  • Cardiac and/or intensive care experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care in mixed ICU/HDU and CCU settings.
  • Work full rostered shifts, 6+ shifts per fortnight.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality care and ongoing education.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Registered Nurse and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team in Critical Care Rotorua Hospital. Our unit is a mixed Intensive Care High Dependency and Coronary Care Unit that caters to adults and paediatric patients. The position will require working full rostered shifts across both Intensive and Coronary Care (Critical Care).

About you

We will consider suitable applicants who wish to work 6 or more shifts a fortnight and have a current work visa. A commitment to the provision of quality care and ongoing education is essential, as is the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment. Applicants must be prepared to work full rostered shifts. Previous specialty cardiac and/or intensive nursing experience is desirable. Acute nursing experience in New Zealand is essential.
