A health services provider in Hawke's Bay is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse - Contact Tracer to lead contact tracing efforts for sexual health. The ideal candidate will have a current RN Practicing Certificate and experience in sexual health. They will work collaboratively to engage with diverse communities and contribute to public health outreach. This role offers flexibility and a chance to make a significant public health impact.

About the Role
We have a permanent part time opportunity within our Te Ikaroa team as a Registered Nurse, Contact Tracer (Sexual Health). The primary purpose of Contract Tracing Nurse role is to lead HIV and syphilis contact tracing efforts in collaboration with the clinical team. This involves but is not limited to proactive public health outreach, clinical follow-up, sexual health clinics and strong relationship-building with primary care providers, community services, and regional partners.

About you
As a successful candidate, you will show and understand the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and are skilled in applying its principles effectively in your role. You build and maintain positive relationships at all levels and models an agile approach –try new approaches, learn quickly, adapt fast. You are able to utilise advanced nursing knowledge and skills through reflective practice, critical thinking and professional judgement to provide competent care and advice while working to top of scope.
