Ara Institute of Canterbury is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Health Centre, delivering primary health care, vaccination services and health promotion for learners. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess a range of presentations, support wellbeing, equity, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments, and contribute to a student-centered wellbeing culture.

The role offers part-time or job-share options, with a focus on accessible, compassionate care and strong community

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary qualification in Nursing at degree level or above.
• Current NZ Nursing Council registration in good standing.
• Advanced Life Support certification is required.
• Authorised Vaccinator certification is required.
• Cervical Smear Taker certification is required.
• Experience with youth health issues is preferred.

As a Registered Nurse within Ara's Health Centre, you'll provide primary health care services that support the wellbeing and success of our learners. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside counsellors, social workers and administrators, you'll assess and manage a range of presentations including minor illness, injuries, mental health concerns and sexual health needs.

You'll also deliver health promotion initiatives, screening services and vaccination programmes while building strong relationships across the Ara community.

We are open to considering part-time or job share options for the right candidate(s).

• A tertiary qualification in Nursing at degree level or above.
• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse, maintained in good standing.
• Current certification in Advanced Life Support.
• Authorised Vacinator certification.
• Cervical Smear Taker certification.
• Proven experience and proficiency in Medtech Evolution (preferred).
• Experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
• Recent clinical experience in a primary health care setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Knowledge of, and experience working with, youth health issues.
• A demonstrated commitment to providing culturally responsive care to people from diverse backgrounds.
