A healthcare organization in Whakatāne is seeking a passionate Registered Midwife to practice full midwifery scope across antenatal, birthing, and postnatal care. You will join a culturally responsive team that prioritizes whānau and provides a supportive environment for growth and impact. The position offers flexibility in a permanent part-time role, up to 0.8 FTE, contributing to meaningful healthcare in the community.

Based at Whakatāne hospital, you will provide woman-centred care in a safe, supportive, and emotionally rewarding space. With a diverse caseload and supportive colleagues, every shift offers the opportunity to grow, connect, and make a lasting impact.
Ko Matariki Maternity Unit is grounded in a women-centred care model, supported by a multidisciplinary team of dedicated midwives, nurses, and healthcare assistants. We are a connected, culturally aware service that champions teamwork, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
