Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a compassionate Registered Midwife to join our experienced team. Provide high-quality, culturally safe maternity care to wāhine, pēpi and whānau, covering antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal services.

Work in partnership with LMCs and the wider maternity team to ensure continuity of care across the community. The role emphasizes primary midwifery care, with opportunities to contribute to equity and whānau experience in our DHB setting.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with one or two years of experience and eligible for full registration.
• Commitment to primary midwifery care including antenatal assessment, labour, birth and postnatal care.
• Ability to work in a culturally safe maternity care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality maternity care across antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal stages.
• Deliver labour care for whānau booked under the community team.
• Collaborate with LMCs, maternity services, hauora providers and other health professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
