About us

Busy Bees Mapua is a nature-rich, play-based centre with three age-appropriate rooms that flow into their own outdoor areas. Tamariki roam between spaces, exploring a bike track and native garden that invite adventurous, curious play. We grow active, confident learners who think, question, and try things out. Strong partnerships with parents and whānau sit at the heart of our curriculum.

You bring

  • Skill in planning, curriculum, reflective practice, and regular and emergent reviews
  • A people-first approach that builds strong relationships with staff and parents/whānau
  • An ECE or Primary qualification and NZ ECE teacher registration
  • A nurturing, caring presence and a passion for helping young children thrive
  • The ability to build responsive relationships with tamariki and their whānau
  • Clear, warm communication
We offer
  • Full pay parity
  • Discounted childcare
  • First aid certification, annual flu vaccines, and uniforms
  • Full reimbursement for teacher registration costs
  • A generous PLD budget you can direct toward your own learning
  • Thoughtful induction, mentoring, coaching, and clear pathways for growth
