Job description

We are looking for a Northern Regional Sales Representative to join the Connect Surveillance & Security team at Dicker Data. This Auckland-based position is focused on selling and marketing Connect Surveillance & Security-focused products and solutions across Dicker Data's channel partner base to create demand and drive sales.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sales support and customer service to Partners to ensure a good customer experience. Providing technical guidance and support to the client, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with the organisation's technical teams to resolve problems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Dicker Data partners, becoming a trusted advisor. Ensure the identification of opportunities, taking specific actions to ensure that Dicker Data is well-positioned to win business.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing potential issues or roadblocks that may affect the client's satisfaction or success. This includes mitigating risks and finding solutions to challenges.
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly forecasts/budgeting updates.
  • Acquire and maintain Sales and/or Technical Certifications as directed and attend channel social and training events

Core competencies sought:

  • A proven track record in developing new business and maintaining existing business, or >5 years of experience in technical roles in the electronic security industry.
  • A good understanding of the products used in the electronic security industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise workload to meet company and customer expectations.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. This includes an ability to communicate and liaise with all levels of customer and supplier contacts, establishing respectful and positive relationships.
  • Strong numeracy skills, and an understanding of back-end administration procedures.
  • High level of initiative and enthusiasm, but able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Innovative, goal-driven, and determined, with a clear vision of company and financial objectives.
