Job summary

WorkSafe New Zealand is seeking three Intelligence Analysts, Regional, to provide operational regulatory intelligence that supports frontline inspectors within your region. You will analyse data from multiple sources, identify risks and trends, and translate findings into clear intelligence products for inspectors and leaders.

Collaborating with inspectors and regulatory teams, you will ensure evidence-based, targeted, and responsive regulatory actions across Aotearoa.

Qualifications

• Experience analysing quantitative and qualitative information to generate meaningful insights.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work with incomplete or ambiguous information.
• Proven ability to write clear, structured reports or intelligence products.
• Experience managing competing priorities and stakeholder requests.

Responsibilities

• Analyse operational data and information to identify regional risks and emerging trends.
• Develop intelligence products that support regulatory targeting and prioritisation.
• Translate complex findings into practical, actionable intelligence.
• Build strong relationships with inspectors and operational stakeholders.
• Provide timely intelligence support for regional regulatory activities.
• Produce operational reports and dashboards that support decision-making.
• Escalate emerging issues requiring wider organisational attention.
