Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for a Medical Oncologist to join our growing oncology service. The role is a permanent part-time 0.8FTE based at Nelson or Marlborough, with travel to Wairau Hospital.

You will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and systemic anti-cancer treatments, contribute to service development and work within a multidisciplinary team to improve access to cancer care.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Annual Practising Certificate and vocational scope of Internal Medicine - Medical Oncology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Experience with a broad range of cancers and systemic anti-cancer treatments.
• Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care across the cancer journey.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred medical oncology care.
• Contribute to delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments.
• Support quality improvement and service development.
• Help shape innovative models of cancer care to improve access.
