The Opportunity

Veolia has a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our SHEQ - Compliance Division. This regional role offers the opportunity to drive safety excellence across our regional operations while implementing integrated SHEQ systems and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.

What you’ll be responsible for
  • Execute regional SHEQ programs and conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and integrated audits across regional operations
  • Monitor compliance with H&S legislation and maintain safety management systems, including ISO 45001 and integrated management systems
  • Manage regional incident reporting processes and coordinate with regulatory bodies, including WorkSafe and environmental regulators
  • Deliver SHEQ training, toolbox talks, and support H&S committee meetings while building AlwaysSafe Culture
  • Conduct internal audits, prepare regional RSHEQ reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operations
  • Provide technical SHEQ advice and coach operational teams and regional advisors in safety leadership and quality management
What You’ll Need to be Successful
  • Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
  • H&S experience, preferably in utilities, industrial or energy sectors
  • Strong knowledge of NZ H&S legislation and safety management systems
  • Willingness to travel
