Job description

We’re looking for a skilled and qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician to join a well-established team delivering top-tier service across South Canterbury. From dairy plants and refrigerated trucks to VRF systems and cool rooms, this is a varied, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work and values quality.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Installing, maintaining, and servicing commercial & industrial refrigeration systems
• Working on heat pumps, ducted and VRF systems, freezer and cool room installs
• Performing planned maintenance, fault finding, and remedial work
• Assisting with farm, factory, cool/freezer room, and transport refrigeration
• Testing, adjusting, and commissioning new systems
• Supervising less experienced techs and completing paperwork to a high standard
• Handling customer enquiries and ensuring top-quality service
  
  

What You’ll Bring:

You’ll hold a Level 4 Refrigeration qualification with experience across refrigeration, air conditioning, and mechanical plant. You’re confident reading technical drawings, working independently or in a team, and solving problems on the fly. A positive attitude, great time management, and strong communication are key.
