Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for a Registered Nurse in Hastings Community Mental Health and Addictions. This fixed-term, full-time role (80 hours per fortnight) focuses on recovery-oriented care within a multidisciplinary team.

You will conduct assessments, create care plans, manage caseloads, and work closely with tangata whaiora and whānau to achieve wellbeing goals, while promoting Equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Recent community mental health and addictions nursing experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health and Addictions.
• Strong assessment, communication, and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equitable health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, recovery-focused care within the Community Mental Health and Addiction Service.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop/implement care plans.
• Provide ongoing case management and support tangata whaiora to wellbeing goals.
• Build strong therapeutic relationships with whānau and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to service improvement and education within the team.
