A local optical practice in Porirua is seeking a warm and motivated part-time receptionist/optical assistant. This role involves managing front-desk duties, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and an ability to multitask. Previous customer service experience is a plus, but training will be provided. Remuneration is negotiable based on experience.

We are a locally owned practice recognised for providing exceptional customer service and clinical care. We have developed great relationships with our long-term clients and are looking for someone who is committed to providing excellent customer service as the first point of contact for our clients. This is a permanent part-time role for an Receptionist/Optical assistant to work alongside our experienced receptionist and optometrists at our Porirua branch. This is a dynamic and varied role that offers the chance to help others and to gain insight into the optical industry.
The role is for 4 days (30 hours per week) 9:00-5:00pm with no weekends, with flexibility to cover occasional sick or annual leave when needed. Required for start date of 27th October or earlier.
