About the role

We have a great opportunity for a permanent full-time Receptionist/Administrator to join our team in beautiful Nelson providing both reception and administrative tasks. You will become an integral part of a front-line team that provides outstanding customer service to our patients. The role can be demanding and requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional interpersonal skills, strong commitment to quality and the ability to multi-task.

Your work day will look like:

  • Schedule and confirm imaging appointments (by phone, online or face to face) and communicate relevant information to the patient, including any preparation requirements
  • Welcome and direct patients and visitors upon arrival to the clinic
  • Identify the correct funding pathway and advise the patient of any shortfall
  • Complete general administrative tasks such as typing letters, collating and analysing data and providing general departmental support
  • Liaise with referring doctors or practitioners regarding patient imaging requirements and maintain accurate records of the patient’s medical and personal details in our radiology information system
  • Some days of the week you will be on the front desk and other days balancing arranging appointments and administrative tasks
About you

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following skills and experience:

  • High level of computer literacy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with the public and working in a team environment
  • Outstanding time management skills and the ability to work in a precise and accurate manner, particularly under pressure
